Community Action Hinckley & Bosworth

We’re so grateful!
We are pleased to report that the 2010 Christmas Appeal organised by Community Action Hinckley & Bosworth, the Salvation Army, Worklink, SureStart and the Hinckley Times was a resounding success. The kindness and generosity of people in Hinckley and Bosworth is very much appreciated. So many people and organisations contributed and as a result 450 people in the Borough received food or toys at Christmas-time. The Earl Shilton and Barwell Lions have been long term supporters of the Appeal and this year they raised money and donated £500. Karl Kings and members of the E/S and Barwell Lions presented a cheque to CAHB and the money raised helped the organisers to buy toys – particularly for those with special needs - and food for those local people who found themselves struggling to cope at Christmas.

Recipients of the food and toy parcels have sent numerous messages of thanks for us to pass on to all those who helped - a selection of them were:
